Third Graders Collaborate!

Third graders at CRES learn the meaning of teamwork as they combine their efforts to create two collaborative projects.

Collaborative Monoprint Cityscapes

Third graders learn the art of printmaking by creating a collaborative cityscape using styro-foam plates. After viewing a series of architectural drawings of historic buildings, the students sketched their favorite then transferred the image to a styro-foam plate.  Using a brayer, they applied the block printing ink to the etched surface then pressed the plate onto the background sheet.  Each sketch was unique adding a variety of interesting buildings.

Fifth Grade Students Draw Their Own Shoes

Fifth graders at Central Riverside practiced drawing from observation by taking off one of their shoes and drawing it.  The results were impressive!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

Central Riverside first graders stretched their imagination by painting snowmen in January.  Each one was unique with his/her own personality.
